Place the rear seat into Tall mode, remove the driver’s seat head restraint and push the driver’s seat all the way forward. We even easily fit a bike in the Fit.Īlthough we wouldn’t want to live in the Honda Fit ( as in some other test cars), the Magic Seat also offers Refresh mode, which turns the Fit into a cozy spot for lounging. editors have had a lot of success cramming the Honda Fit with many items, both long and bulky, from awkwardly shaped Swedish furniture and tailgate supplies, to a bevy of blenders from an editor’s wedding shower and a table and chair set for in-a-pinch holiday entertaining. With the backseat folded, there are 52.7 cubic feet of cargo space and 16.6 cubic feet of space behind the seat when it’s upright. Long mode is great for hauling things that would never fit in most subcompact cars. Called Long mode, the front seat can recline all the way to accommodate cargo up to 7 feet 9 inches long. The Honda Fit’s front seat is no slouch either. Tall item on one side, flat item on the other? Honda has you covered: Both the Tall and Utility mode configurations can be done at the same time thanks to the rear seat’s 60/40 split, making it incredibly versatile. To get into this Utility mode, make sure the head restraints are in the lowest position and fold the seatbacks forward using the seat-mounted lever. The seat also folds flat to accommodate boxier cargo. In Tall mode, it’s easy to store a bike standing up - no small task for a subcompact hatchback. Called Tall mode, you simply lift the seat’s bottom cushions and lock the legs in place against the seatback. With the Magic Seat’s versatile flip-up bottom cushions, the Honda Fit easily can swallow tall items since the footwell space is available for use. However, it definitely qualifies as a magic seat when it comes to everyday use. Related: 2015 Honda Fit: Real-World Cargo Spaceĭisclaimer: If you go by the traditional definition of magic, then no, there’s nothing mysterious about it. The subcompact hatchback’s small exterior dimensions hide an interior that rivals the cargo capacity of larger SUVs, and much of that is due to the flexibility of its backseat, which Honda calls the Magic Seat. CARS.COM - If you’re like me, the Honda brand doesn’t conjure up images of fairies and unicorns, but there’s definitely something magical about the Honda Fit’s backseat.

For the Trump account, we find words related to fake news and the Mueller inquiry are more common in tweets with a high number of replies relative to retweets. We find that raw activity counts increase during the period leading up to the 2016 election, accompanied by a regime change in the ratio of retweets-to-replies connected to the transition between campaigning and governing. Here, we quantify the balance of these activities, also known as “ratios”, and study their dynamics as a proxy for collective political engagement in response to presidential communications. ![]() On Twitter, POTUS messages consistently attract high levels of engagement as measured by likes, retweets, and replies. The past decade has witnessed a marked increase in the use of social media by politicians, most notably exemplified by the 45th President of the United States (POTUS), Donald Trump. Frequently the affected athlete remains on the playing field or walks off under their own power. Indeed, the individual usually remains on their feet for 15 sec to 1 min or so, but appears dazed, like someone suffering from a grade 1 concussion without LOC. The affected athlete may appear stunned, but usually does not experience loss of consciousness (LOC) and in the case of football, he often completes the play. The second blow may be remarkably minor, perhaps involving only a blow to the chest that indirectly injures the athlete's head by imparting accelerative forces to the brain. Before these symptoms resolve, which may take days or weeks, the athlete returns to competition and receives a second blow to the head. Typically, the athlete suffers post-concussion symptoms after the first head injury, which may include headache labyrinthine dysfunction visual, motor, or sensory changes or mental difficulty, especially cognitive and memory problems. The syndrome occurs when an athlete sustains an initial head injury and then suffers a second head injury before the symptoms associated with the first impact have cleared, (Cantu, 1995 Cantu and Voy, 1995 Schnitker, 1949). W hat Saunders and Harbaugh (Saunders and Harbaugh, 1984) called “the second-impact syndrome of catastrophic head injury” was actually first described by Schneider (Schneider 1973). In addition, the imaging similarities between our patients and those with non-accidental head trauma (shaken-baby syndrome) will be discussed. The CT findings included an engorged cerebral hemisphere with initial preservation of grey-white matter differentiation, and abnormal mass effect and midline shift that appeared disproportionately greater than the size of the SDH. The clinical history and the unique neuroimaging features of this entity on CT are described and illustrated in detail. To support our hypothesis, we present 10 additional cases of acute hemispheric swelling in association with small SDHs in athletes who received a second head injury while still symptomatic from a previous head injury. We believe that the brain swelling is due to “second-impact dysautoregulation,” rather than due to the effect of the SDH on the underlying hemisphere. ![]() In those cases, the cause of the brain swelling/dysautoregulation was ascribed to the presence of the acute SDH rather than to the acceleration/deceleration forces that caused the SDH. There have been a handful of previously published cases of athletes who were still symptomatic from a prior head injury, and then suffered a second injury in which a thin, acute subdural hematoma (SDH) with unilateral hemisphere vascular engorgement was demonstrated on CT scan. ![]() If this free note-taking app is helpful for you, please share the note-taking app with your friends.
